This is a four-hour hands-on cooking class in Rome with a trained, Roman chef. Cooking classes begin in a beautiful kitchen in Trastevere and last approximately 4 hours. You and your group spend the morning preparing a 5-course meal, which includes antipasto (appetizer), primo (pasta or risotto), secondo (main), contorno (vegetable side dish), dolce (dessert), and coffee. At the end of the class, you will sit down to enjoy the meal over wine or beer.
The dishes you prepare will reflect Roman and other central Italian flavors and seasons and in advance of your class, our chef will reach out via email so you can discuss the menu. She will do her best to accommodate dietary restrictions—please let us know about these and any special requests in advance; unfortunately, the kitchen may have traces of flour from various baking projects and therefore cannot be used to prepare celiac meals.
Specialty classes, such as pasta making, are available upon request.
