Eggs Benedict at Canteen

Poached eggs, ham, and hollandaise are each bad for you individually. But put them together on a toasted bun and you get a heart attack to the third power. I’m a bit of an eggs benedict novice, as my usual breakfast in Rome is pizza bianca or some other pizza by the slice, but since I have been spending a lot of time in London, I am trying to get into a more substantial breakfast spirit. A favorite place is Canteen (several locations) where they more than live up to their motto “great British food”. The meals are consistently good and their eggs benedict is one of the best (and most life threatening ways) to start the day. But why limit yourself? Breakfast is served all day. Treat yourself to the cholesterol triple threat any time!
