Italian Regional Wines Seminar with Vino Roma

Over the past five years, thousands of travelers to Rome have had the supreme privilege of learning about Italian wines from Hande Leimer of Vino Roma. Understandably, repeat visitors return to her tastings again and again, attracted by her passion and knowledge. Now Rome’s residents have the unique opportunity to partake in an extended wine seminar with Hande at her tasting studio in Monti.

From January 22 until March 26, Hande and her team will host a weekly wine school. Classes will be held Tuesday evenings and each one will focus on one to three Italian regions. Three to four wines will be served at each session and these will be paired with light snacks, like panini or bruschette prepared with very high quality ingredients, many of which will come from the region being studied.

Book now by contacting Vino Roma at mail@vinoroma.com. The cost of the course is €500 and includes all instruction, wines, accompanying snacks and course materials. The class size will be capped at 12 students and requires a minimum of 6 participants to run.

I recently attended a class at Vino Roma with a group of fellow chefs from the USA. I have to say it was just outstanding. I would rate Hande Liemar right up there with the very best of wine educators like Karen McNeil and Kevin Zraly. She and her crew are particularly good at exposing small Italian boutique producers and appellations and being open to the fact that there are some fabulous wines out there that just marry themselves to certain foods but are quirky and could never be rated under the tyranny that is Robert Parkers palette.
    I strongly recommend Vino Roma

If I were still in Rome, I would be attending this. Hopefully she’ll attract some students as well!
