Eat: Food tours are immersions in Roman food culture divided by neighbohrood and visit well known districts such as Testaccio and Centro Storico, while the Prati and Trionfale and Esquilino tours go off the traditional tourist map to find delicious food and drink away from the crowds. There are also thematic itineraries that delve into specific topics like Rome’s Jewish Cuisine and the Cucina Povera tradition of eating offal and poor cuts.
Drink: Italian Craft beer and wine tastings visit pubs and wine bars for a survey of how Romans drink in the 21st century, including natural wines, and pair drinks with food. The Cocktail Seminar explores the history of booze in Italy and enjoys classic and contemporary drinks sipped alongside simple snacks.
Explore: Visit monuments like the Colosseum and Forum, the Pantheon, and the Baths of Caracalla, as well as underground sites like San Clemente. Other tours explore neighborhoods like Trastevere or Pigneto for history, culture, and culinary overviews. There are Special Site Visits to places not typically open to the public including Monte Testaccio and the Circus Maximus Mithraeum.
If you can’t decided on single itinerary, you can design a Custom Tour, mixing and matching the sites and topics from the tour menu.
