The Guardian's Rome City Guide

The Guardian tapped Rome’s top bloggers and journalists to weigh in on dining, nightlife venues, and accommodations for their new Rome city guide. I contributed three pieces (pizzerias, cafes/bakeries/gelaterias, and trattorias). You can check out the whole guide here, including stellar submissions by Jessica Stewart, Erica Firpo, Gina Tringali, Amanda Ruggeri, and others.

Hi Katie, really good piece, I love these guides and glad to see they got an expert like you to contribute. I managed to get some of the pictures on the bars section which was a nice surprise. Keep it up.

Really amazing guide that has so many fabulous food recommendations. Its not easy business narrowing it down to just 10 or so per category but you guys really did a great job. Plus I would have never discovered this guide if you hadn’t written about it here. Thanks.

Congrats! I think we’re headed to sforno on Thursday… been putting off the cacio e pepe pizza for far too long, but the 9:30pm Metro A closure is a pain 🙁

    Looking forward to more guides!

oh, Regoli! yes! go there and prepare to be delighted. The wild strawberry tarts, the ricotta “muffins” – virtually every desert is amaizing. Went back several times.
small gellateria Be-Bop on the corner of via Boschetto and via Leonina is very good. not too many flavors, but gelatto is fresh, and the service is friendly. open late.

Be-Bop is near piazza Madonna di Monti.

Thanks all! Glad you enjoyed the posts!

@Natalie check out Tonda which recently opened in Montesacro. It is owned by the sforno peeps and is really great
