Tribute Pizza welcomes New York Times bestselling author Katie Parla for a midday celebration of her new book, Rome: A Culinary History, Cookbook, and Field Guide to the Flavors that Built a City. Based on two decades of reporting, baking, and eating in Italy’s capital, the book blends deep history with practical recipes and on-the-ground insight into how Rome eats, then and now.

Guests will enjoy a relaxed lunch of Roman style pizzas (in a couple of different styles), but you can also expect some Roman-style fried snacks (Gnocchi Fritti Cacio e Pepe, Supplì al Telefono, anyone?), and veggies (maybe even Carciofi alla Romana?), and dessert, and more, too, probably… paired with conversation about the research, recipes, and stories behind the book.

For cocktails, we’ll certainly offer a round of the ubiquitous Roman spritzes, but our bar team will also whip up some cocktails inspired by the best bars and speakeasies in the Eternal City.
