Trips Terms and Conditions
1. Booking & Acceptance
A booking is confirmed only when:
- We receive your completed booking information;
- Your deposit or full payment has been received; and
- We send written confirmation of your reservation.
If booking on behalf of other travelers, you confirm that:
- You have authority to accept these Terms on their behalf; and
- All travelers have received and accepted these Terms.
The lead traveler is responsible for all payments due under the booking.
2. Deposits & Final Payment
A 25% non-refundable deposit per person is required to secure a reservation.
Unless otherwise stated, final payment is due no later than 90 days prior to departure. Reservations made within 90 days of departure require full payment at booking. Failure to pay by the due date may result in cancellation of the booking and forfeiture of amounts already paid.
3. Pricing
All prices are listed in USD and are per person unless otherwise stated. Prices are based on exchange rates, transportation costs, taxes and fees, and supplier pricing.
We reserve the right to adjust pricing prior to confirmation. After confirmation, price increases will only occur where permitted under applicable law and only due to fuel or energy costs, taxes or fees imposed by third parties, or exchange rate fluctuations.
If any increase exceeds 8% of the total package price, you may terminate the contract without penalty and receive a full refund.
4. What Is Included
Only services specifically listed in the itinerary are included.
Typically included: accommodations, guided culinary experiences, select meals and beverages, ground transportation during the tour, airport transfers, and professional guiding and trip management.
Not included unless expressly stated: airfare, travel insurance, passport and visa costs, personal expenses, optional activities, and gratuities.
5. Travel Insurance (Mandatory)
All participants are required to obtain and maintain comprehensive travel insurance for the duration of the trip. Your policy must include coverage for trip cancellation and interruption, medical expenses, emergency medical evacuation, repatriation, and personal liability.
Proof of insurance may be requested prior to departure. Failure to obtain adequate travel insurance is at your own risk. We are not responsible for losses that would otherwise have been covered by insurance.
6. Traveler Responsibilities
You are responsible for holding a valid passport and required visas, meeting all health and entry requirements, arriving on time for all scheduled departures and activities, and providing accurate personal and medical information.
You must notify us prior to booking of any condition that may materially affect your ability to participate safely. We reserve the right to decline participation where we reasonably believe the tour is not suitable for a traveler's condition, mobility, or conduct.
7. Health, Mobility & Dietary Requirements
Our culinary tours may involve extended walking, uneven streets and stairs, standing during tastings and demonstrations, and travel in rural or historic areas. Travelers are responsible for determining whether a trip is appropriate for their physical abilities.
We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate dietary restrictions communicated in advance but cannot guarantee that all requests can be met.
8. Changes Requested by You
If you request changes after confirmation, requests must be made in writing and are subject to availability. Administrative or supplier fees may apply.
Name transfers to another traveler may be permitted where practical and legally possible, provided reasonable notice is given. The original and substitute traveler may be jointly responsible for any outstanding costs.
9. Cancellation by You
All cancellations must be made in writing. Cancellation charges apply as follows:
- More than 90 days before departure: loss of deposit
- 60–89 days before departure: 50% of total tour price
- 30–59 days before departure: 75% of total tour price
- Less than 30 days before departure: 100% of total tour price
If unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances occur at the destination that significantly affect the performance of the package or transport to the destination, you may have rights under applicable EU law to terminate the contract before departure without paying termination fees. Unused portions of the trip are non-refundable.
10. Changes or Cancellation by Us
We reserve the right to make minor changes to itineraries where necessary. We may cancel a tour if minimum participant numbers are not reached, due to force majeure or unavoidable extraordinary circumstances, or for safety, operational, or legal reasons.
If we cancel the tour (other than due to traveler fault), you will be entitled to a comparable replacement tour or a full refund of payments made. Refunds do not include independent expenses such as flights, additional hotel nights, visa costs, or insurance premiums.
11. Force Majeure / Unavoidable Extraordinary Circumstances
We are not liable for failure to perform obligations caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, pandemic-related restrictions, political unrest, transportation disruption, government actions, or labor disputes.
Where such circumstances substantially affect the trip, we may modify the itinerary, substitute accommodations or services, or suspend or terminate the tour. We will make reasonable efforts to minimize disruption.
12. Our Responsibility
We are responsible for the proper performance of the travel services included in the package travel contract, as required under applicable law. However, we are not liable for acts or omissions attributable to the traveler, unforeseeable acts of third parties unconnected to the travel services, or unavoidable extraordinary circumstances.
Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws.
13. Third-Party Suppliers
Hotels, restaurants, transportation providers, guides, and other suppliers are independent contractors. While we carefully select partners, we are not responsible for their independent acts or omissions or service interruptions beyond our control.
14. Conduct During the Tour
Participants are expected to behave respectfully toward fellow travelers, hosts and guides, local communities, and staff and suppliers. We reserve the right to remove any traveler whose behavior threatens safety or wellbeing, disrupts the group experience, or violates local laws. No refund will be issued in such circumstances.
15. Photography & Marketing
During the tour, photographs or video may be taken for promotional or editorial purposes. By participating, you grant us permission to use such materials unless you notify us in writing before departure.
16. Complaints & Assistance
If you experience a problem during the tour, you must promptly inform the tour leader or our designated representative. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve issues during the trip. Failure to notify us promptly may affect your legal rights or entitlement to compensation.
17. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of New Jersey. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be submitted to the competent courts of that jurisdiction unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law.
