Mesob, Excellent Ethiopian in Rome

Check out page 8 of this Sunday’s NYT Travel section for my review of Mesob, an excellent, authentic, and affordable Ethiopian restaurant on the Via Prenestina. Mesob is located a few minutes from Porta Maggiore by tram (around 10 minutes on foot).

    Lovely review!

It sounds like this is on ‘my side’ of Via Prenestina so I will have to check it out when one of those unavoidable no-Italian-food moods hits.

Next time you find yourself in LA, please please please make time for a tiny whole in the wall restaurant called Awash (on W. Pico). It is far and away the best Ethiopian I have ever had and I still dream about it from Roma.

@Natalie thanks! it’s so quick to get there from San Lorenzo. You can easily walk or take the tram. It’s on the right just after the tangenziale overpass. check it out!
