I love a good sit-down meal but I just might love fast food even more. Now, I’m not talking about McDonalds here. In Sicily, fast food is a small pizza just out of the oven or bread stuffed with ricotta and spinach or ham and cheese. Everything is fresh and totally without preservatives. One of my favorite places for a quick snack is Le Palme in Piazzale Marconi between Oritgya and the Greek Theater. If you know a bit of Italian you can even ask if there is anything cooking in the oven you might be interested in. Since their products are in such high demand (the place is consistently busy), there is bound to be something on it’s way out.
