Slow Food Central NJ Winter Farmers Market

Written by Katie Parla on February 20, 2009

This afternoon I worked at SFCNJ’s Winter Farmer’s Market at the NJ Museum of Agriculture. I did a cooking demonstration (sausage frittata), manned an information booth to promote Context Trips, and took in all the great local products that central NJ has to offer. I loved Pickle-Licious pickles and olives, the Village Bakery‘s crusty bread, and Salumeria Biellese‘s cured boar sausage, and Cherry Grove Farm’s gouda. The next Winter Farmer’s Market will be held at Tre Piani on March 22, 11am-3pm.

A very special thanks to Cherry Grove Farm, Bringhust Meats, and Eno Terra for supplying the ingredients for my cooking demo!
