In addition to my regular tour offerings, I am thrilled to announce a new charitable initiative. You can now join me for visits to the American Academy in Rome during which we will visit the grounds of the Academy, the garden of the Rome Sustainable Food Project, and have lunch provided by the Alice Waters-founded kitchen. The next lunch is scheduled for September 19.
We will meet at 12:00pm in the outdoor courtyard immediately after the gate. Reservations are obligatory so please write to me to tell me you will be there.
There is no need to effect payment in advance. You can bring your cash payment to lunch and the development officer will enroll you as a Friend of the American Academy in Rome. This payment will also cover your lunch expenses. You will receive your membership details and receipt via email.
The American Academy in Rome is located on the Janiculum Hill at Via Angelo Masina, 5. This is a short distance from Porta San Pancrazio. You can reach me here for bookings and questions.
More about the AAR:
The American Academy in Rome is a research and arts institution, which provides fellowships to scholars and artists who reside in the AAR complex on the Janiculum Hill. It is the oldest American overseas center for independent study and advanced research in the arts and humanities. The Rome Sustainable Food Project is a joint venture between the AAR and Alice Waters that uses fresh, seasonal, organic products to create nourishing meals for the Academy’s fellows and visiting scholars.
