Le Antiche Siracuse, Siracusa

Written by Katie Parla on September 22, 2008

An Ortigya landmark just of Piazza Archimede, Le Antiche Siracuse has been serving sweet and salty delights to devoted customers for more than a century. It is at once a classic bar, serving coffee and pastries in the morning, and an elegant bakery providing typical products like marzipane, cannoli and cassatta siciliana. At lunchtime local businessmen clamor for Le Antiche Siracuse’s rustici (puff pastry filled with vegetables, cheese or meat) and pizzette (small pizzas).
