Tripe Wallet, A Thoroughly Roman Gift

What do you get the girl who has eats everything? A tripe wallet, of course. Until yesterday, I didn’t even know such an exquisite thing could exist. But my friends (who know me too well) pitched in for this amazing, textured folding wallet, which is made from cow’s stomach and sealed with a hand crafted silver closure. This beautiful inedible offal was handcrafted in Rome by O-Pose, a small company owned by two Romanian women who specialize in one-of-a-kind bags and wallets. The honeycomb pattern is unmistakably tripe, an ingredient found on many Roman menus, one of my favorite foods and now my favorite accessory.
