Arriva Il Bonci

Are you ready New York City?! Gabriele Bonci aka “the Michelangelo of pizza”, renowned baker and founder/owner of Rome’s Pizzarium and Panificio Bonci will touch down on US soil later today. His 7-day whirlwind trip will feature a demo at Eataly (October 18), a pizza and beer event with me at Paulie Gee’s (October 19), an appearance at Jim Lahey‘s booth at the NYC Wine & Food Festival’s Sunday Slices (October 20) and two sold out workshops at Sullivan Street Bakery (October 21). You can follow Bonci’s time in NYC on my Instagram feed or the Parla Food Facebook Page. And be sure to snag the newly released English language translation of Bonci’s famous cookbook, Pizza: Seasonal Recipes from Rome’s Legendary Pizzarium.

    Hi Katie,
I am a native New Yorker with a Roman husband. I live in Brooklyn and eat at Pizzarium a few times a year when I visit Rome! I am pissed because I did not know that Gabriele was going to be at Paulie Gee’s which is a regular haunt of mine, five minutes from home. Nor that he was offering lessons at Sullivan Street. Both events are sold out. As far as Eataly is concerned, I shop there weekly and not even a mention of him on their website!
I am a big follower of food news, especially in New York, and am very disappointed that I have not run across one piece of information prior to his arrival that could have enabled me to attend one of these events!
    Oh well, maybe next time!
