Roman baker and pizzaiolo Gabriele Bonci of Pizzarium and Panifico Bonci is teaming up with Nick Anderer of NYC’s Marta and Maialino for a pizza-themed event next month. Gabriele and Nick will be cooking together for two nights only, November 13 and 14, at Chef’s Club by Food & Wine (275 Mulberry Street, NYC). I’ll be working with the team on beverage pairings, so expect some fun Italian craft beers in the mix. And to sweeten the deal, the very awesome Jessica Weiss is making dessert! Here’s what’s on the menu:
Antipasto
Gabriele – classic suppli; broccoli, sausage + gorgonzola suppli
Nick – potato + smoked cod croquette; salad – baby head lettuce, squash, house-made stracciatella, anchovies
Pizze
Gabriele – pizza all’amatriciana
Nick – pizza alla carbonara con funghi
Secondo
Gabriele – carne in crosta (pork baked in pizza dough)
Nick – vegetable dish
Dolce
Jessica – individual servings of sorbet or affogato, with biscotti for the table to share
