Jim Lahey & Parla Food Team Up for Rome Pizza Event

To celebrate the Italian release of Jim Lahey’s landmark book My Bread: The Revolutionary No-Work, No-Knead Method (Pane Senza Impasto, Jim and I will be hosting a pizza and wine pairing event at Pizzeria Emma in central Rome on November 6 at 7:30pm. Jim will be preparing three pizzas, which will be preceded by Emma’s fantastic fried starters. Each course will be paired with wine. Here’s what we have planned:

    Verdure fritte (fried vegetables) + Monsupello Rosé Oltrepò Pavese

    Braccio di ferro (spinach pizza) + Passerina Colle Bianco 2013

    Cavoletti di Bruxelles e castagne (Brussels sprouts and chestnut pizza) + Costa d’Amalfi Tramonti Bianco 2012 Tenuta San Francesco

    Diavola (spicy salami pizza) + SP68 Rosso 2012 Occhipinti
